Oh, what a delight! My English friend and I, a pair of older Spanish folks, recently discovered this charming place for English pastries and desserts. The Victoria Sponge Cake was divine, the lightness of the sponge harmonizing with the sweet strawberry jam filling. The Eccles cakes with their flaky crust and the currant filling were a comforting nod to the traditional. The real showstopper, though, was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was moist, rich, and the accompanying caramel sauce added the perfect sweet note. It was a party in our mouths! The service was outstanding, making us feel right at home. I urge you all to try these English delights. Can't wait to return!
